The perfect e-bike day.

One couple, two e-bikes and one perfect day in the Paznaun valley: for BH Bikes and the Ischgl tourism board, we put the brand-new ATOM-X “Ischgl Limited Edition” on screen – from the marmots on the Idalp past the Friedrichshafener Hütte down the new flow trail into the valley.

The job of this film

BH Bikes wanted to showcase its brand-new e-MTB – the ATOM-X “Ischgl Limited Edition”, literally one of a kind at the time of the shoot: exactly one unit existed worldwide. Ischgl, in turn, wanted to show that the Paznaun valley is a first-class e-bike destination in summer. Two goals, one shoot – and a budget that BH and the tourism board split 50/50.

Instead of a feature parade, we told a day: a couple experiencing the Paznaun by e-bike – from the village center of Ischgl up to the Idalp, past marmots and the Friedrichshafener Hütte, across the high-alpine ridge trails and finally down the new flow trail back into the valley. In the end, one shoot produced two films: the product spot for BH and the tourism film “A Perfect Mountain Bike Day” for Ischgl.

Why this shoot worked so well

We already knew the valley. From earlier Ischgl productions we knew where the best spots are, when the light hits the ridge and which trails work on camera – and with bike guide Marc we had someone at our side who knows every meter. The tourism board had our backs: the best locations reserved, accommodation in top hotels, short distances. You can see it in every frame.

Add to that what you can't plan: luck with the weather. Up to the golden meadow early in the morning, sunrises on the ridge, clouds playing around the summit cross. We worked with drone, gimbal and POV, chased the riders by bike – and caught the marmots on the Idalp along the way. Photo and video in one go. A shoot we remember fondly.

Two films from one shoot

The same footage yielded two versions – the product spot for BH Bikes and the tourism film for Ischgl.

Sports, tourism and product films in the mountains

Outdoor, bike, mountain, tourism: productions in the Alps depend on the weather and are logistically demanding – and that's exactly where we're at home. We tell products and regions as stories instead of feature lists, know the spots, plan shoots with plans C and D, and keep up with the camera on the bike. Whether bike brand, cable car or tourism board – we're based in Austria's Salzkammergut and shoot across Austria and beyond.
